Learning Table Tennis and Basic Table Tennis Rules
Fun , Sports / October 24, 2009

Table tennis is one interesting sport that has been present for more than a hundred years. Though the people who played this game only did it for fun to pass the time indoors, this will later become an Olympic sport. Smaller tournaments are held in other venues that sometimes feature the best players from Europe and Asia. The individual should check the television for the schedule of the tournament or watch it live if ever there is one coming to town. The Debate:  Should Athletes Bench Press (please post your thoughts in the comments!) Bench press rep should Athletes Bench Press? Great Debate Series My opinion:  Yes. Reasoning:  Before I get into my reasoning, I need to outline a few assumptions that need to be made in order to rule on this case. 1. This is a generally healthy athlete 2. The athlete has no lingering shoulder issues 3. The bench is PART of a well balanced program 4. The person has good form (ie, arm angle, breathing, full ROM, etc) If those 4 factors are in place, then I think the bench press is a great upper body strength and mass builder.  The bench utilizes the chest, shoulders, and triceps while activating musce fibers in the…

Scuba Diving in the Bahamas and Aruba
Sports / July 18, 2009

Of all the water sports, Scuba diving is one of the most popular ones. Scuba is the acronym for self contained underwater breathing apparatus. Specialized scuba equipment allows the diver to breathe underwater for long periods of time. Snorkeling is different because the swimmer breathes directly from the atmosphere through a mouth tube. During scuba diving, the swimmer carries a supply of air underwater, and there is no need to surface until the air tank is empty. The scuba diver does exhale the breathed air through a snorkel like tube into the water. Both activities require the diver to wear special eye masks to enhance underwater vision. Hypnosis for Sports and Performance Enhancement
Sports / April 23, 2008

The way all players practice without leaving their recliner or favorite chair is with hypnosis. Hey, every time a coach said, “Close your eyes and see yourself in the game”, they were using hypnosis. You just called it imagery or visualization. Same process, different wording. Many athletes have used hypnosis (visualization and guided imagery) as a regular practice to increase the mind game but quite frankly, you may not be very good at it. But you can learn with a hypnotism professional. Are you a weekend warrior, casual athlete, high school star or pro? Regardless of the level you play at, your game and skills can be improved and it doesn’t happen on the practice field. We all know the player or team with the psychological edge usually wins, even if they are less talented. That’s because the game begins in the mind. For more information about hypnosis and how Hypnosis Can Help Your Sports Career or hobby, please visit our web site. Bookmark and Share: Tags: information
