Your Caribbean Information In A Glance
By OnlineInformationSearches.com
We were originally planning last summers vacation to somewhere moderate and temperate. Living in Chicago, where the only time it’s not cold is when it’s boiling hot, we thought we’d go to somewhere like San Francisco, where it never gets hotter than warm or colder than cool.
But we ditched those plans after coming across a website showing Caribbean information, and offering vacation packages to St. Lucia, Puerto Rico, and a host of other destinations. Boy were we hooked when we saw the pictures of the turquoise oceans and gorgeous waterfalls.
After looking through all the Caribbean information, we set off for St. Lucia on the 25th of June, taking advantage of a great vacation package. The hotel was fairly inexpensive and right on the beach, and the airfare was definitely reasonable considering the tropical paradise which was or destination. We picked up a Caribbean information tourbook, and spent weeks anxiously thumbing through it, excitedly planning all of the adventures which we would have.
When we got there, however, we threw the Caribbean information to the wind. We were instantly overwhelmed by the beauty of the place, and set off to explore ourselves, rather than rely on the information on Caribbean vacations gleaned from some booklet for tourists. The thrilling heat of the air, the clear skies with little white clouds, the gentle oceans – we had definitely found our slice of heaven.
However, as tourists from a rich country, we definitely should have been more aware of at least some of the Caribbean information which we had read. People see American tourists and they see dollar signs. The Caribbean information tour book told us how much to pay for taxis, food, souvenirs, and other services, but we were too naive to pay any attention at all.
The worst was ignoring the advice on what parts of town to go to and what to avoid – I had my pocket picked which, although fortunately it didn’t have my passport, did have a good bit of money and travelers checks.
If we had studied the Caribbean information more closely, we might have avoided the major pain in the neck which that was! Still, all in all, it was a wonderful vacation and I’d definitely recommend St. Lucia to anyone interested in a trip to a tropical paradise. Just remember: pick up a tour book and pay attention to the Caribbean information, it is there for a reason!
